Birkir Blær is Head of Development at ACT4. Birkir has studied and worked on more than a few things in his life. Having finished a bachelor´s degree in law he decided to write the next great Icelandic novel. He wrote for a year and then sat down and read his book. It was the worst piece of fiction ever written in history. By far.But when you start at the bottom the only way is up.They say one in eight Icelanders will publish a book in their lifetime. And Birkir did write a book, a very successful children´s book called Stormsker for which he received The Icelandic Children´s Book Prize. And then he went on to write a couple of very successful tv series. So he has kind of found his mojo.He lives in Reykjavik with his partner, a saxophone and a dog, a very good dog named Oliver.
